Shannon V. Condon is a partner at the firm of Gardiner Koch Weisberg & Wrona. She has more than a decade of litigation experience, and she dedicates a significant portion of her practice to various receivership matters. She has been very involved in several complex receivership matters at GKWW, primarily representing individuals appointed to act as business receivers. She has served as counsel to both receivers and claimants/investors in several high-stakes federal equity receiverships brought by the SEC. Her receivership-related work includes the following: • Attorney for court-appointed federal equity Receiver in SEC action involving ponzi scheme • Attorney for creditors in multiple SEC receivership matters involving multi-million dollar real estate ponzi schemes • Attorney for court-appointed Facilitator/commissioner in land partition suits with unresponsive defendant occupants • Attorney for court-appointed Receivers in receiverships involving disputes among business owners of fire restoration companies, limousine companies, funeral homes, bars/concert venues, debt collection companies, construction companies, etc. • Appointed Successor Attesting Signatory by Judge Neil H. Cohen regarding ongoing real estate trust matters • Attorney for court-appointed Receiver in divorce case involving sale of residential/commercial properties to satisfy debts owed • Attorney for court-appointed Receiver in receivership involving managing residential rental property, evicting tenants • Attorney for court-appointed Receiver in relation to dispute over ownership of a property in Old Town, Chicago, IL. • Attorney for court-appointed Facilitator in family dispute regarding the sale of residential/commercial properties Ms. Condon also has significant appellate experience, having drafted appellate briefs for several receivership and other related matters. Prior to joining GKWW, Ms. Condon practiced law at a boutique commercial litigation firm in Chicago. Ms. Condon received her Juris Doctorate from The John Marshall Law School, now known as UIC Law School. Throughout her law school career, Ms. Condon spent several semesters working with Judge James E. Sullivan, a trial judge in the Law Division at the Circuit Court of Cook County. While there, she helped manage the adjudication of over 400 consolidated cases.
