Brandon Carr is an attorney with Buchalter and focuses on commercial litigation and receivership matters. Mr. Carr has significant experience representing state and federal receivers, national retailers and companies, major banks, technology companies, Fortune 100 companies, and public entities. His experience encompasses a wide variety of cases at both the trial and appellate levels, including contract, fraud and indemnification cases, shareholder disputes, business/real property valuation cases, matters involving general business torts, receivership matters and intellectual property rights. Mr. Carr has first- and second-chair trial experience, and has obtained favorable orders and significant judgments for clients. Mr. Carr has represented receivers in many state and federal cases. Mr. Carr also has had receiver's appointed on behalf of client banks. Mr. Carr graduated magna cum laude from the Honors College at UCLA and earned his law degree with honors from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he was on the school’s law review. Mr. Carr is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and is admitted in California, New York, and the District of Columbia. Mr. Carr is a member of the Edward J. McFetridge American Inn of Court and the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association. In 2021, he was recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine. He was also named to Best Lawyer’s “Ones to Watch” list 2021-2024.

I have been counsel on this case since 12/11/2013-current (case is still open). I have 10 years of experience working on this complex federal equity receivership case. I have attended all hearings in the case, argued all motions, prepared all motions to sell property (including, personal property, domestic and international property), to approve sale plans, prepare/revise status reports, developed/implemented claims processes, conducted private and public sales, researched complicated receivership issues (including tax issues, appointing order issues, etc).
