Professional Bio

I have over twenty years of experience representing fiduciaries, including chapter 7 trustees and chapter 11 trustees and federal equity receivers. I also guide distressed companies through out of court workouts, assignments for the benefit of creditors, and bankruptcy cases. I have served as lead counsel on numerous chapter 11 matters and in two federal equity receivership cases. Prior to practicing, I clerked for the Hon. John E. Ryan, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of California and a member of the 9th Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel. I have served numerous leadership positions in the insolvency area and been recognized as "Best Lawyer" by U.S. News & World Reports for the past few years and as a Super Lawyer since 2012.
